Ivybridge 10k

Many outstanding results were achieved by the Torbay AC team of 15 at the Ivybridge 10k,on a course that is relatively fast, despite the very steep hill from Bittaford to Moorhaven.  Super vet. Pete Monaghan claimed 3rd place finish overall in (34:36) with Naomi Flanagan 1st lady finisher in (39:19) Torbay AC also took the 2nd Male Team prize with Pete Monaghan, Kevin Fine & Steve Weeks, plus the 2nd Ladies team prize with Naomi Flanagan, Karen Frissen and Sara Jane Crozier there were 770 finishers.

 Oxford Town & Gown 10k
 Torbay’ Charlie Arnell won the Oxford Town & Gown 10k in a massive personal best time of (36:04) to achieve an exciting elite entry to the Manchester 10k next weekend. The Oxford event started in 1982 as a fun run and now attracts up to 5,000 runners every year, including serious athletes, fun runners and club runners. The 10k route takes you along a City Centre closed-road route that finishes in the University Parks.
 Race the Tide
Four Torbay members ran in the Race the Tide event from the glorious setting of the Flete Estate Mothecombe, with various race distances from 29 miles involving 2 estuary crossings at Burgh Island and the Erme Estuary before finishing with a hill top sea-view at picturesque Mothecombe.
Mark Bruce raced the Tide Long Half 15.66 miles finishing 46th in ( 2:42:16) The 14k (8.9 miles) race with 102 runners included 14th Brian Lewis (1:16:20) 76th Michelle Sandhu (1:42:34) 83rd Gemma Radcliffe (1:46:30)
