On Thursday evening Torbay AAC were out in numbers for the Dawlish Dash. The Coastal Dash is an approximately 4-mile, multi-terrain running race which includes sandy beach, sea wall and coastal footpath. It started at Dawlish Warren in the warm early Summer sunshine, beginning with an out and back section along the beach. The runners scrambled like steeplechasers to get over the groynes which were sitting high in the sand. Once off the beach participants headed towards Dawlish along the sea wall, cross the footbridge over the railway line and then head along the coastal footpath back to where they started at Dawlish Warren for the finish. Chloe Weeks produced a solid performance to finish as 3rd Lady.
