Training session for December 2018

It is the intention of this Training schedule to be group sessions with the aim of encouraging a team spirit and generating social activities as well as keeping every one informed of each months coaching sessions.

Tuesday 4th December: – Level 5 endurance. Session good for all levels

5 Mile Tempo Run Starting by the 3 Pebbles Torquay Seafront to Paignton Green This is a fast continuous run at your 10k pace Record your time all runners looking to progress should log all your training sessions

Thursday 6th December: – Speed session short reps – on Torquay seafront. All levels

Warm up – Mobility exercises.

Short sprints on path opposite sea front or Pier.

Number and recovery dependent on group level.

Warm down – Stretch.

Tuesday 11th December:-Level 5 endurance.

Marine Drive (10 miles). Speed endurance

Thursday 13th December: -strengthening session. All Levels

Hollicombe rolling hill reps

Warm up – Mobility exercises.

Number and recovery dependent on group level.

Warm down – Stretch.

Tuesday 18th December:- Level 5 endurance.

Goodrington (8) out and back 4 long reps

Thursday 20th December: –

Speed session on Torquay sea front. Yes I know it’s Christmas just one last session

1 min out 1 min back 1 min recovery.

2 min out 2 min back 2 min recovery.

3 min out 3 min back 2 min recovery.

4 min out 4 min back 3 min recovery.

3 min out 3 min back 2 min recovery.  

2 min out 2 min back 2 min recovery.  

1 min out 1 min back Warm down

Beware of traffic, pedestrians and conditions under foot.

All training session are dependent on weather conditions.

Remember to ware bright or fluorescent clothing when training in the dark.                

If you are injured or Ill do not train or do only light running/swimming/cycling.

It is important to listen to the coaches before and during training sessions.
