Liverpool Half Marathon

Pete McCaig traveled to Liverpool to run in the cities Half Marathon, where Rock laid its Roots! “running in the steps of the Beatles”, as runners discovered Liverpool’s rock/ pop history along their half marathon journey. Peter McCaig’s finishing time was 1:43:44 on Gun, with his Chip time 1 min faster in an excellent 787th position from a field of 4000 runners.

Gloucester 20
Debbie Drake ran in the Gloucester 20 mile road race where the race was modified to a three lap event due to road closures. Finishing 4th in her age category and 189th out of 527 in (2:45:47) and a massive PB of 25mins! Debbie said “Another great day at the Sunday office with wonderful people” many of whom were training with her ready for the London Marathon on 22nd April

Yeovil Half Marathon
Betsy Bebbington & Nick Robinson completed the Yeovil Half Marathon which had been sold out this year due many recent race cancellations. The undulating course started and finished in the town center, after some quiet country roads and a run through the picturesque grounds of Montacute House, returned to Yeovil with sizeable crowds supporting the event and thankfully said Betsy “the Royal Navy band playing as we climbed the last slope towards the finishing line which was thankfully down hill!” Betsy Bebbington finished 10th overall and 1st FV 50-59 in (01:34:46) with Nick Robinson 133rd recording a PB in (1:34:09) there were 1537 finishers

Saltram 10k
It was a good morning at the Saltram 10km for Anita Ley and Cassandra Harrison who took on this this monthly event, a 3 loop trail run with a few hills for good measure. Cassandra Harrison finished 2nd Lady in (49.52) with Anita Ley finishing well in (59.04).
