Torbay Five Bays Challenge

Torbay A.C’s inaugural Five Bays Challenge, a 10 kilometre multi-terrain race, was held last Sunday with great success, following the need to replace the Torbay Regatta 10k road race. There were many positive comments from the 172 competitors who ran the challenging course from Broadsands Beach to Brixham and back with stunning views across the Bay.

The Challenge started and finished at the picture post card setting of Broadsands Beach with the course (marked with coloured tape) uphill to Churston Village, across land which made up the old Churston Estate to the edge of Brixham. In Brixham it passed the fish market and headed back along the coast path via Oxen Cove, Fishcombe Beach, Churston Cove, Elberry Cove to the finish at Broadsands Beach.
