Twenty five Torbay A.C. Athletes braved all that Storm Freya could throw at them by running storming performances at Sunday’s final Westward League Cross Country meeting at Redruth. Junior Iona Farquharson blasted to victory in the U13s girls race and secured top spot in the overall league. Her win helped her U13 Girls Team finish 2nd with trophies also going to Mia Ratcliff and Kiera Quinn. The U15 Boys team of Myles Begley, Samuel Hart and Christopher Kirwin all put in final good performances to secure 2nd spot with the U17 Mens team of Alexander James, James Alcock and Alexander Bly finishing 3rd without needing to run.  Sara Crozier and Hayley Ratcliff finished joint 3rd in their FV50 category but Sara was awarded the trophy for running all 6 races. Torbay’s stalwart Denis Doy also finished 3rd overall in his MV65 category.

U17, SENIOR & VET LADIES (4900 metres) – 22 Fay Cameron (24.06) –31 Sarah Harrison (25.32) – 38 Hayley Ratcliff (26.39) – 39 Fleur Ricklin (26.40) – 40 Sara Crozier (26.52).

U15 GIRLS (4000 metres) – 7 Holly Leman-Liberal ( 19.28) – 9 Emma Harrison (19.59).

U13 GIRLS (3000 metres) – 1 Iona Farquharson (12.26) – 12 Ela Rogers (14.06) – 16 Mia Ratcliff (14.57) – 17 Kiera Quinn (15.04) – 25 Grace Povey (20.04).
