Torbay Half Marathon.

Fourteen Torbay AAC athletes took part in the club’s 28th running of the Torbay Half Marathon. The race takes runners on a stunning two lap, scenic and traffic free coast road between Paignton and Torquay. The weather was perfect for athletes with rain holding off until the end. Adult and junior members of the club helped Race Director Greg Fine ensure the event went smoothly by marshalling and manning water stations. It was a great day for Greg as son Kevin Fine put in an amazing performance by finishing 44th in a pb time 01:23:25. Other results were 100. Giants Head Marathon

On Saturday Torbay AAC’s Mark Bruce completed the challenging Giants Head Marathon which is set in the beautiful village of Sydling St.Nicholas in Dorset. The course offers beautiful running through the Sydling and Cerne valleys taking in the famous Cerne Giant. Mark came 30th out of 395 in a time of 04:35:34.

Tsunami 16

Dan Bickford-Beers of Torbay AAC took on the Tsunami 16 on the longest day which takes in breath taking coast paths between Hartland Quay and Bude which offers runners an elevation gain of 3,577 ft. Dan finished the race in 3hrs 55 mins.
