Two Torbay A.C. Athletes ran Saturday’s Flying Fox Running’s Dark Wood 8.5 Mile Race located in Great Wood in the Quantocks. Great Wood is known for it’s Combes, trees and Red Deer. This hilly race is challenging, but the steep climbs reward competitors with some spectacular downhill running and a great medal for all finishers. The race is at night and so athletes wear head torches. Race times on the day were as follows: Mark Bruce (1:15.43) – Andy Philippou (1:32.22).
