On Saturday three Torbay AC runners took part in the Plym Trail Winter half marathon organised by First and Last Running. The route is an ‘out and back’ following the former railway line from Clearbrook Village down to Coypool and over viaducts with stunning scenery. Mark Luscombe and Tas Felstead crossed the finish line together in a time of 2:14 and Gemma Radcliffe 2:36
Mark Bruce , Pete Hart and Chis Sweeny had a cracking evening running the Wild Night Run. 10 tough, muddy, rocky miles on Dartmoor! 10 Chris Sweeney ( 1:26:40), 21 Mark (1:32:54), 26 Peter Hart 2nd mv50 on his birthday (1:35:05).
First Chance in Exeter
Sixteen members of Torbay AAC turned out on a bright, cold morning to run First Chance in Exeter. The sun shone brightly in the blue sky, ice sparkled frostily on the paths and like shards of broken glass in the puddles. The improved course took runners along the riverside and through the parks, glorious on the winter’s morning. There were personal bests galore despite the cold and the ice! Many thanks to South West Road Runners for hosting the event and the marvellous marshalls.
