Oh My Obelisk
Fourteen Torbay AC members entered the Obelisk Half Marathon or 9 Mile option. This multi terrain race included plenty of mud and many spectacular views with a few hills too around quite country lanes. and forest trails. Starting and finishing at Dawlish leisure center.
First home for TAAC in the Half was 53 Nick Robinson (1:53:57) followed by Mark Bruce (1:54:04)-60 Chris Sweeney (1:55:32)- 86 Fay Cameron (2:03:38)-88 Paul Frissen (2:03:56)-113 Karen Frissen (2:14;43)-117 Cassandra Harrison (2:16:45)-120 Ray Brown (2.17.34) 138 Mark Luscombe (2:24:27).173 Gemma Radcliffe (2.58.23)

Waterfront 5k NZ

In New Zealand Debbie Drake raced The Waterfront 5k course, a flat out and back route around the edge of the Wellington inner harbour right in the centre of the city amongst all the tourists across 2 roads and a play-park. It was mayhem at the start in true laid back New Zealand style. Debbie Finished in (23:38) 3rd V50 Lady.

 Westward League Cross Country

At windy Westward Ho! The course is flat, but has a number of deep boggy ditches which athletes have to negotiate. It was juniors Iona Farquharson and James Alcock who produced the performances of the day finishing 2nd in their races. These results mean Torbay A.C. are in contention for silverware with the U13

Girls 2nd in the league with Iona Farquharson topping the individual table, Lily Bates is 3rd place in the U17 girls, Hayley Ratcliff is 2nd and Sara Crozier 3rd in the FV50 categories and Denis Doy lies 3rd in MV65 category.
