Torbay AAC were well represented amongst the record 826 finishers at the Ivybridge 10k on Saturday evening which is a relatively fast flat course apart from a short steep hill from Bittaford to Moorhaven. Pete Monaghan was in great form finishing 8th place overall to win the 1st Male Vet 50 trophy. Club mates Kevin Fine and Steve Weeks put in sterling performances which along with Pete’s performance earned Torbay AAC the runners up Mens Team award. A number of Torbay AAC athletes travelled to Ottery St. Mary on Sunday for a 10k around the lanes of East Devon. Results were: 83 Dan Bickford-Beers (00:47:32), 84 Ian Bandy (00:47:39), 150 Kav Solder (00:54:15), 153 Lisa Haley (00:54:25), 177 Jan Barrett (00:56:16), 187 Darren Barrett (00:56:49), 214 Becca Disbury (00:58:45) 279 Alice Barker (01:04:58), 332 Bill Valentine (01:22:49).

Mark Bruce of Torbay AAC completed his first ultra marathon at the White Star Running OX Frolic event held on the Rushmoor Estate in Dorset. This was a lapped event in beautiful surroundings of Chase Wood, with each lap covering 10.5km. Mark managed an impressive 32miles (5 laps) in 05:55:44.

Anthony Raine and Fleur Ricklin represented Torbay AAC at the 2nd Run Exe 5k Series along the banks of the River Exe in Exeter on Tuesday evening. Results were: 48 Anthony Raine (19:35) and129 Fleur Ricklin (24:31).

Sonny Harvey competed in the Devon Athletics Championships at Exeter Arena for Torbay AAC on Sunday and put in a superb PB of 18:44.Chris Norman travelled to the Bideford 10k to represent Torbay AAC and finished in a PB time of 49:07.
