Westward League Exeter

Torbay AC fielded thirty eight Junior and Senior members in the 3rd Westward League and Devon County Cross Country Championship at Exeter. Once again it was junior Iona Farquharson who produced the performance of the day coming 2nd in the U13 Girls race earning a place in the Devon team and 1st place in the league. James Alcock secured 5th place and will run for Devon. Holly Lehman-Liberal, Alexander Bly, Xavier Bly and Myles Begley all ran well finishing in top 10 places which puts them on the reserve County Team list. ….On the day results:

Cockington Christmas Caper

Seventeen of TAAC’s Senior members ran in the Cockington Christmas Caper claiming a 1st FV50 finish for Fiona Holden a 2nd FV40 Lisa Hayley and a 2nd MV70 spot for Ray Brown. Organised every year by local Christian Charity, The Barnabas Sports Trust. The start and finish were at the Cricket Pavilion with the race of approx. 7 1/2 miles in and around the Country Park, all off road on trails and footpaths which were very hilly and muddy. Weston Christmas Cracker 10K

Super Vet. Pete Monaghan claimed 3rd place in (35:50) from 2500 runners in the Christmas Cracker Weston AC’s largest race by far, with runners coming back year after year to take part in flat, tarmac and beach run.
